Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are not refundable, but they are transferrable. If you're unable to attend WindyCityRails and would like to transfer your ticket to someone else, please contact us.
Can I add a tutorial to my existing ticket?
Yes! If you'd like to add one or both tutorials to an existing registration, you can upgrade your ticket at just $100 per tutorial. Complete this form if you'd like to upgrade your existing ticket.
Will there be parking?
Valet parking is available for $42.00 per day. Garages in the area might have lower self-park rates. Note that The Westin sits within walking distance of several CTA bus & train lines. Why park when you can ride!

What is this I hear about charity at WindyCityRails?
WindyCityRails, is not a profit-driven conference. Money collected from ticket sales & sponsorships is used to cover the expenses of ChicagoRuby and the conferences. Profits are donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
What’s the story behind WindyCityRails?
WindyCityRails was born at a ChicagoRuby meeting in December 2007. During an after-the-meeting chat, a few members wondered out loud: “Why isn’t there a Rails conference in Chicago?” Hmmm... Why, indeed! So we rolled up our sleeves to make WindyCityRails happen. The first conference was held nine months after that initial conversation. This year's conference is our third.
