About ChicagoRuby.org
ChicagoRuby.org is a group of Ruby and Ruby on Rails enthusiasts. Each monthly meeting of ChicagoRuby.org features something for everyone, from Ruby Nuby through Master Jedi. Our meetings are a place where we share our knowledge and excitement about the language and the framework.
Our group meets on the third Saturday of every month at 3pm in the Chicago area. Our location floats, so be sure to sign up at Meetup.com to get the exact location for a particular month.
About WindyCityRails
WindyCityRails was born at the Dec2007 ChicagoRuby.org meeting. During an after-the-meeting chat, a few members wondered out loud: “Why isn’t there a Rails conference in Chicago?”
Hmmm… Why, indeed!
So we rolled up our sleeves to make WindyCityRails happen. Sponsors, presenters, and attendees have all embraced WindyCityRails with enthusiasm. Platinum sponsorships sold out less than 24 hours after we released the sponsor package. Rails creator David Heinemeier Hansson agreed to speak very early in the game. Presenters began sending us proposals long before we made the official request.
